Criteria
- Students or postdocs who are presenting abstracts at the main meeting are eligible for the fellowships.
- The main consideration is financial need, as demonstrated by factors including travel from another continent or attendance of several students or postdocs from a single laboratory.
- Preference is given to those whose abstracts have been selected for an oral presentation or have received a high score for a poster presentation.
- All other factors being equal, grant requests submitted earlier are given priority.
- Only those applicants who have registered for the meeting or who have a coauthor registered for the meeting are considered for financial aid.
The selected candidates will receive the fellowship only if they (1) register for the meeting by 31 January 2009, and (2) present their work in person at the meeting (if their abstract has been chosen for presentation).
