Workshop Title

Auditory Processing of Vocalizations and other Complex Sounds

Organizer(s)

Tony Zador: zador@cshl.edu

Abstract

Recent progress underscores the need for interdisciplinary interaction across areas of experimentation and computational modeling. This workshop on Auditory Processing of Vocalizations and other Complex Sounds aims to bring together researchers with diverse backgrounds to discuss emerging ideas and approaches.

Among questions to be discussed are:

How far can we go with linear models? What is the best basis for describing complex sounds? How can the best basis be found?
